Privacy Policy for "Data Export for Salesforce"
1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how our browser extension "Data Export for Salesforce" ("we", "our", "us") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our services. By using our extension, you agree to the terms outlined in this policy.
2. Information We Collect
- Salesforce User Credentials
- User Email Address
- Execution Logs
- Browser extension settings
- Extension user activity
3. How We Use Information
- Salesforce User Credentials: In order to connect to your Salesforce organization we require a Salesforce username, password, login url and token. You can create/update/delete these credentials in the "Users" tab in the browser extension. These credentials will be stored safely on your browser in your local storage. These credentials will also be sent to our servers when you submit a new extraction request. We DO NOT save your Salesforce users credentials on our servers/databases: we use them only for reading your Salesforce data through the Salesforce APIs. We DO NOT update/delete your Salesforce data/metadata in any way.
- User Email Address: An email address is required when you contact us through the form in the "Help" tab in the browser extension: we save each request coming from that form with your email address. When you purchase a license on "Buy Me A Coffee" (https://buymeacoffee.com) you need to provide your email address. We will save you email address on our servers when you generate a new license key in the "Settings" tab in the browser extension. We DO NOT send marketing emails.
- Execution Logs: We create an execution log on our servers whenever you submit an extraction request. We update the execution log whenever the extraction is completed or an error occured. The log shows who requested the extraction, when the extraction started, when it finished and other extraction details. We monitor the logs for errors and we use them for statistics/reports.
- Browser extension settings: In the "Settings" tab in the browser extension you can change the Salesforce API version to use when extracting data and the license key (if you have purchased one): these settings will be stored safely on your browser in your local storage.
- Extension user activity: For a better user experience we save the last tab you visited in the browser extension along with the text you wrote: if you close the browser extension accidentally you can re-open it and continue what you were doing. We also save the latest policy version you accepted. This data will be stored safely on your browser in your local storage.
4. Data Storage and Deletion
- Temporary Storage of Extracted Data: The data extracted from Salesforce is stored on our servers temporarily only for the storage period (3 days). After the storage period, the data will be automatically deleted.
- Access to Extracted Data: The Salesforce data stored on our servers is accessible only to the user who requested the data.
5. Data Sharing and Selling
We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your data to outside parties. We also do not share your data with anyone, except as necessary to comply with legal obligations.
6. Data Security
We implement a variety of security measures to maintain the safety of your personal information. Your Salesforce credentials are stored securely on your browser, and our servers are protected to ensure the safety of the data during the storage period.
